April

April we decided we better start getting ready for our new baby due in May! We painted, bought an old dresser that Nate sanded down and repainted, we ordered some cactus prints, and started putting together a nursery!

I tried a few pinterest ideas to keep the boys somewhat engaged in general conference...they were mostly flops. This one I put all the apostles pictures on easter eggs that were filled with candy Spencer picked out. Each time he matched a speaker to his picture he could open the egg and pick a treat. Turned out he wasn't a fan of the candy he chose so Nate ended up eating most of it.

Spencer had his first cavity filled. He hated the gas at first and I was afraid they were going to try to make me put him under which I really was against. Luckily he came around and they got it done and it ended up being no big deal...only a few hundred $$

We went to the ward Easter breakfast and did a walk through the last week of Christ's life. It was well done and a great start to Easter week. Then of course, the boys did the Easter egg hunt and got waaaay more candy and eggs than necessary.

Easter morning the boys did an egg hunt and enjoyed some new toys and prizes. After church we went to my parents where my aunt and some of her kids who we hadn't seen in years came over too!

We finally started getting some really nice days in April so we took the boys fishing one Saturday. We didn't catch anything but sunburns.

I had one last girls night with Jourdan and Codi (and baby Brystol). We went to Costa Vida and Crumbl and it was a fun, care free night!

Here's our random pictures from April

March

At the end of February, Nate's 96-year-old grandpa died. It was bittersweet as it was his last living grandparent, but he was ready to go home and be reunited with his wife. The funeral was in Layton and all the Moeller siblings were there which was a fun little reunion even if it was short. Nate has some crazy longevity genes in his family. His grandpas OLDER sister who turned 100 a few days later, was at the funeral!

We stayed at a hotel in Layton with Nate's siblings the first night, then after the funeral and events we drove up to Park City to stay at Nate's aunts house the rest of the weekend and spend more time with family. Nate and Spencer went sledding in the backyard, we watched a mom and baby moose walk rigt down the road in front of the house, the girls went shopping at the outlets, and Nate's aunt and uncle spoiled us with their food and hospitality!

Aunt Allison gave Kade his first man-bun.

like father like son.

Spencer earned himself a movie date with dad to the new "How to Train Your Dragon" movie. He insisted on wearing his dragon costume that's now at least 3 sizes too small. They also had the whole theater to themselves!

My friend Jourdan is friends with my cousins wife, Laura and we were all pregnant at the same time so before we all started popping we had to get a picture! Laura is due in June, Jourdan due end of March, and me in May.

I took the boys to the Children's Museum a few times and only took this one picture??

Nate's 34th birthday was the 22nd. Every year we say we're gonna have a party and every year we don't follow through. So this year I actually came through. I planned a murder mystery dinner party, wild west style, for him and some friends. We'd never been to one so thought the new experience would be fun and something different. I thought it turned out fun and was a good time, though now that we know how it works I think the next one would be even better!

I completely spaced candles so this is what we improvised with.

my friend Carlie is an incredible baker and made this adorable cake for me!

It tasted even better than it looked.

I gave her full reign to do whatever she wanted looks and flavor wise. She nailed it! All I said was western theme and she did the rest. She even used a cookies and cream filling which, if you know Nate you know that is right up his alley! DELICIOUS!!

And just a picture of Kade eating a blue cinnamon roll.

February

February was another laid back month.

Nate took a Friday off work to hang out with the boys so I could go to the Boise Smart Women Smart Money conference. I always enjoy that and learning more about finances. The boys went to the new Children's Museum and out to lunch. It was a hit so we've been back to the museum quite a few times since!

Spencer did a round of swimming lessons at the Rec Center. I didn't love the setup there so we will just wait until summer to do more! But we did get him some pretty awesome new goggles. He likes to call them his "swimming vision goggles."

I got a nice girls night out with my BFFs to celebrate Codi's birthday and Jourdan almost having her baby. We went to Olive Garden and I'm still drooling over their chocolate lasagna! Then we did what girls do best and shopped at Target!

Some of our FHE activities for the month:

And pictures of the boys!

"hoops" are his favorite thing right now

proof that he just keeps growing!

"hoops" on TV are almost as good as shooting them himself!

January

Nate and I are getting boring in our old age. We didn't have any New Years Eve plans and I'm pretty sure we were in bed way before 11pm...

Later in January I took the boys to a toy train exhibit at the library. It was neat, they had all sorts of giant train setups and even had some stations where kids could drive them. We don't go to the main library often, because it's far away but they had some cool toys that the boys played with for quite a while after!

Kade is turning into a quite little mischievous boy, he took a white crayon to our microfiber couch. After lots of google searching and Nate's hard work I think it's mostly unnoticeable.

At the end of January we ventured up to McCall to see Grandma Lynne and Tim, and to play at the Winter Carnival! We hadn't been in a few years and now I remember why. It was so crazy busy! But we had a ton of fun! We went to the Mardi Gras parade which I'd never done, we even ran into some friends from our ward which made it more fun for the kids! The weather was perfect so Nate and Spencer did a ton of sledding while me and Kade napped. We also made it a point to make sure we saw every snow sculpture, I always forget how impressive some of them are! These are not in any kind of order, but we sure had fun and need to go back!
