December 2020

December began with Spencer getting a tooth pulled! Ugh...have I mentioned I hate dealing with teeth and eyes? It is never ending. Thankfully I put up a stink to have the dentist I most trust do the work! It was supposed to be a cap, as per another doctor's recommendation. I refused the appointment for him to do the work and I could tell the scheduler was irritated that I was adamant Dr. Grant do, and good thing because when he looked at the x-ray he absolutely thought capping it was the wrong call, it was either a root canal (on a baby tooth??) or pull it.

My dad, Nate and Tyler got this wild idea that they wanted to taxidermy (that is not the right word but I'm drawing a blank) buffalo skulls. My dad knew a guy, because of course he does, who raises buffalo and got them started! It looked cold and miserable out there power washing buffalo skulls...

We did our annual hike up in Idaho City to cut down a Christmas tree.

I gave Garrett a haircut and instantly regretted it.

We checked out Christmas in Color with some friends at the fairgrounds, it was cooler than I thought it would be.

Went to the Dille's kids' Christmas party and their annual adult Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. Fun as always! Some of the kids like Santa better than others.

Being able to ski saved us during this crazy time of Covid! Even if they were crazy uptight about some of their policies, it was so refreshing to be able to get out of the house and go SOMEWHERE! Kade really nailed it, going twice a week was so good for his skills! People were always commenting on how little and how good he was!

We visited the lights at Indian Creek with Brayden, Madison and Finley.

And we just stayed home for Christmas (yay! my favorite!) and Kade and Garrett fought over a giant dump truck,,,its not Christmas until someones crying!

Kade, a growing boy.

Some random pictures from December.

November

The best part of November was Spencer's birthday!

He turned 7 and had a Harry Potter party with his cousins because the world was still so unsure of covid...

We had a bunch of early snowfall and spent tons of time turning our boys into little skiing machines. Both of them improved so much!! Nate decided to give up snowboarding and cross back over to the light side with skis! They even tested how the power wheel did in the snow. These pictures are from the drive home after a day of skiing. Wore these boys OUT!

We did our annual photo shoot at Kathryn Albertson, and it was maybe one of the warmest shoots.

after the pictures we went back to Oma & Opa's for dinner.
The kids played a game we used to play growing up where you have to pull a quarter out of a cup of flour with your teeth!

We spent a bunch of time outside searching for the Shu's hidden rock and Tyler came out the big winner and won himself a Garmin watch and bunch of other swag. He gave me a pair of socks for all my help ;)

The boys thought Heaton's Nintendo Switch was super cool and that was all they wanted to do when he was in town for Thanksgiving.

I tried my hand at sourdough, we played with out friends, and a cute picture of a messy Kade.
