bye, Palace house!!
last bath in the Palace house!
February was off with a bang, packing and cleaning our NEW house and our OLD house so we could MOVE! Thanks to my BFF's Jourdan and Codi and Codi's husband Austin, they all were so wonderful and came and helped clean for hours!!!
I guess I should share some house details. We weren't necessarily looking to move, but we were quickly growing out of our 988 square foot starter home. A house in our same ward and a different, newer, nicer neighborhood with no HOA, a bigger yard, still in a cul-de-sac, came on the market and we decided on Christmas day (or Eve?) we should at least go look at it. Seeing all the space was awesome and we basically decided right then we'd offer. We were just at a place emotionally where we were happy with our friends, our ward, our life, and we just weren't ready to move far enough away that we'd have to replant our roots and make new friends and blah blah blah.
Initially our offer was rejected and I think even our counter to their counter was rejected. At that point we said it wasn't meant to be so we told them no thanks but if it was still for sale in a month to let us know and we would renegotiate. Well, later that day we got a call with an all new offer and so we agreed.
We moved in toward the end of February and we love having space to spread out. We also inherited a trampoline in the deal and Spencer has really loved that.
Kade turned 7 months old and shortly after we moved I got serious about getting him on a schedule and soon after that he started sleeping through the night!
I asked Nate to take a Friday off work so I could attend Boise's "Smart Women Smart Money" conference. It was a FREE full day event for women, packed full of classes and speakers relating to finances and budgeting as well as booths and vendors. It was actually really interesting and fun (though next year I want to have one of my friends go with me!) and lunch was catered and snacks were provided. Nate even sneaked the boys in at one point so I could feed Kade.
Febraury 28, I came out of the church from mutual to find my car in pieces. Someone had backed into me hard. We got things worked out in the end and you better believe I'm still driving it!
